1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern all work carried out by Metal Railings London (“we”, “our”, “us”) for any client (“you”, “customer”).
By accepting a quotation or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Quotations & Pricing
- All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Prices are based on agreed specifications, measurements, and site conditions.
- Any additional work, design changes, or unforeseen issues may result in extra charges.
- We reserve the right to revise costs if site conditions differ from those initially agreed.
3. Deposit & Payments
- A non-refundable deposit (typically 30–50%) is required to secure the booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid:
- Upon completion, or
- Prior to installation (depending on the project).
- Late payments may result in delays or suspension of work.
4. Design & Bespoke Work
- All products are made to order and bespoke unless stated otherwise.
- Final designs, sizes, and specifications must be approved before production begins.
- Once production has started, changes may not be possible or may incur additional costs.
5. Measurements & Site Responsibility
- We will take site measurements where agreed.
- If measurements are provided by the client, we are not responsible for inaccuracies.
- The client must ensure:
- Clear and safe access to the property
- All necessary permissions (planning, landlord approval, etc.)
6. Materials & Finishing
- Products are typically:
- Hot-dip galvanised for corrosion resistance
- Powder coated for durability and finish
- Minor variations in finish, colour, or texture may occur and are not considered defects.
7. Installation
- Installation dates are agreed in advance but are not guaranteed.
- Delays may occur due to:
- Weather conditions
- Site readiness
- Access restrictions
- If installation cannot proceed due to client-related issues, additional charges may apply.
8. Lead Times (Delivery & Completion Time)
- Estimated lead time for order completion is up to 2 months, depending on the type, size, and complexity of the project.
- Smaller or standard items may be completed sooner, while bespoke or complex projects may require the full lead time.
- Lead times begin only after:
- Deposit has been received, and
- Final design, measurements, and specifications have been approved.
- Any changes requested after confirmation may result in extended lead times and additional costs.
- While we aim to complete all work within the estimated timeframe, delays may occur due to factors beyond our control, including:
- Material availability
- Supplier delays
- Weather conditions
- Ongoing project scheduling
- We will inform the client of any significant delays.
- Priority or expedited orders may be available upon request and may be subject to additional charges.
9. Cancellations & Refunds
- Deposits are non-refundable once production has started.
- If cancellation occurs before production, part of the deposit may be retained to cover design and administrative costs.
- Custom-made products are non-returnable and non-refundable.
10. Warranty
- We provide a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of installation.
- This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse, impact, or external factors
- Lack of maintenance
11. Maintenance
- The client is responsible for maintaining the installed products.
- Maintenance advice can be provided upon request.
12. Liability
- We shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Delays outside our control
- Our total liability is limited to the total value of the contract.
13. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including:
- Extreme weather
- Supply chain disruptions
- Government restrictions
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
